Java One 2012

We were waiting for this mail to decide whether one or two people from iText Software Belgium would fly to San Francisco for Java One:

Thank you for taking the time to submit a session for consideration for JavaOne 2012. The response to the call for papers was tremendous, with hundreds of submissions, and unfortunately we can only select a small portion of those. We regret to inform you that your session(s) listed below was not selected.

Session ID: BOF6129
Session Title: Using Java 7's smartcard API to sign documents

The time and effort you invested in submitting a session is greatly appreciated and we hope that you will consider submitting again for JavaOne 2013.

We hope that you will be able to attend JavaOne 2012, the world's best conference for the Java community.

I guess that's decided then, Valérie will go to Java One on her own, and she will be joined by the people from iText Software California.

Mr. iText at JavaOne?

Maybe we can let our customer and user community decide. What if lots of people would love to have a tech chat with Mr. iText at JavaOne?

How to succeed

The best way to succeed (in life, in business, even in a game) is to live by very simple rules.
In this case: No speaking opportunity = No Bruno.
I'd never been able to write iText, and two books about iText, if I'd allowed me to be led astray.
Don't blame me for being consistent!
